We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Shop Manager to join our friendly retail team.  Working in collaboration with the Shop Manager, this position will suit someone who is a retail expert, who has proven experience of creating a brilliant shopping environment and providing an excellent customer experience.

You will have experience of running a well-presented shop and with an eye for detail, will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair whilst helping to maximise the sales and profits.

 In conjunction with the Shop Manager, as well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service, you will be involved in the recruitment and management of our superstar volunteers.

You will need to be able to work unsupervised in a methodical and organised manner and be flexible to the needs of the charity, covering holiday and sickness absences.

The ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively, apply sound judgement and be able to work under pressure are key skills requirements of the role.  Excellent people management skills and awareness of Health & Safety compliance are essential.

A full driving licence and use of a vehicle for business purposes are desirable. 

15 hours per week will be worked over 2 days based on a rota, covering the shop opening Monday - Saturday.  

Julia’s House is an award-winning children’s hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties.

Each family we support is unique and so is the care we provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help these children and their families.

To reach more children with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions and to set the gold standard in flexible, bespoke care that supports the whole family.

For local families of life-limited and life-threatened children to be able to access the help they need, when and where they need it and for every member of the family to feel supported, valued, cherished.
