We have a rare opportunity to join the retail division of Julia’s House. You would be leading a transformational growth to our Retail Estate whilst continuing to enhance the brand, providing an exceptional shopping and donor experience alongside excellent customer service.

Our Retail team is an integral part of our Charity and you will be responsible for our growing retail estate that currently consists of 14 retail shops across Dorset and Wiltshire.

As Head of Retail, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational direction, which includes:

Driving Growth: Achieve sales and profit targets through managing our Assistant Retail Area Managers whilst strengthening the existing estate by building strong foundations. Leading the growth of the retail estate in partnership with our Health, Safety and Facilities manager to open new premises.

Strategic: Continue to build on our customer focused strategy, ensuring it maximises sustainable net income and long-term value for the charity.

Team Building & Management: Working alongside the HR and Volunteering teams, empower, support and develop a high performing retail team and create a collaborative workplace culture.

Budgetary and Financial Management: Work with the retail managers to set target net contributions for retail activities and making any amendments where necessary.

Operational: Ensure that all processes and systems are fit for purpose and constantly review to ensure that the highest standards are being met.

We do ask that you are flexible to travel around the regions and also have a regular presence in our Creekmoor Retail Office. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential; and all positions are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Julia’s House is an award-winning children’s hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties.

Each family we support is unique and so is the care we provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help these children and their families.

To reach more children with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions and to set the gold standard in flexible, bespoke care that supports the whole family.

For local families of life-limited and life-threatened children to be able to access the help they need, when and where they need it and for every member of the family to feel supported, valued, cherished.
